Invention time!

Well, I got the DVD's I was talking about in my last post, and here's what came from my first 4 lessons.

This first image here (on the left)I did while I was watching the intro, I just followed along even though I don't think I was supposed to just yet. It's kinda lop-sided, but oh well, I was sitting at my computer desk when i did this one. Did not understand too much at this point. The next one (on the right), I did while sitting at a make-shift drawing desk while looking up at my screen (I need to get a drawing desk). At this point I'm starting to understand a lot more about what's going on and what will make things look more real in the long run.

Not too bad for my 1st day really studying, learned a lot more than I have sitting in drawing classes O_o I'll continue on tomorrow and post another image or 2.

Trying something new

For a good while I've been looking for ways to better my illustration skills, whether it's through looking at "How to" books, or looking at the loose line art of other artists to see how they did it. Well, for me none of that worked. Ok, ok.....this is starting to sound like an add.

I ordered Learn to Draw the Human Figure
Just watch the sample videos, though some of the other videos on the site have odd music in the background one can assume there wont be too much of that in the actual video. Mine is on it's way and I should be seeing it by Monday if not tomorrow. From the sample videos it looks like it'll work for me, not so much "hey, here's how you draw a line" type of thing, but more of a "here's why".

Ok, done rambling, I'll see what I can do once I've started to practice with this stuff.

Yet another older work....

Yet another image that's a few months old. I'm getting ready to graduate soon, so it might be a bit before a lot of new stuff starts to appear. Well, enjoy this one, yet another REALLY sketchy one!

Posting some work

Here's an older image that I thought I'd post up here. It's not much to look at, but for some reason I like sketches more than finished work, lol. Anyway, enjoy!

Hey there :P

Well, here we are, the start of DMH Illustrations (or at least in blog form)! I've been drawing for a few years, not working onit as hard as I should be, but hey.....better now than never, right? Sit back, relax, try not to worry about my sanity, and enjoy :)
